National Novel Writing Month

How you can get involved with #NaNoWriMo this November!

There is always room for more stories in the world!

November brings #NaNoWriMo where people from all over the world start their creative journey of writing a novel. Signing up to National Novel Writing Month provides you will a whole community of other writers, as well as resources, progress charts and much-needed milestone back-pats when you achieve your goals. It’s a no-pressure platform, run by a non-profit organization with the intention of helping you along what can sometimes be a daunting project. From our various writing competitions, we know SGS College has a wealth of creative writing talent, so get involved!

A few staff members at LibraryPlus are taking part this year, so if you want to come in and chat about your work, we’re super keen to hear all about it, or recommend books that might inspire you. It’s a well established fact that great writers read, after all.

Here you can see a few examples of books specially written to help hone your creative writing talents and get you in the routine of putting pen to paper everyday. Our advice: just give it a go! The next bestseller is out there, and it might just lie with you.
