This Thursday (the fifth of March) is WORLD BOOK DAY!!
The World Book Day organisers have put together a “Writes Of Passage” list – a list of 50 books that young people across the country have chosen as The Fifty Books That Will Change Your Life!
We have a good number of these books across our LRCs, so come on over and borrow something which will inspire you, motivate you, thrill you, scare you, make you cry, make you laugh, make you think… Maybe all in the same book!
If you (like me…!) find such life-changing decisions as choosing a book to borrow next just a little bit stressful, at Filton LRC we have made that choice a little easier for you. Come and check out our Mystery Book Shelf, next to our World Book Day display, and take a chance on a wrapped-up book based only on a short description and the first line! Who knows, you might find a new favourite…
We also have a table-full of World Book Day themed activities, including colouring pages, word searches, puzzles, activity packs, and a selection of awesome book extracts to read!
